The BANANA CLUB certificate will include your name and selected title if you wish to have a title. You name it! Most members are C.H.D.'s (City Hand Directors), but you choose the title of your choice. We have L.B's (Legal Bananas) , T.B.'s (Tech Bananas) , or F.D.'s (finger directors in charge of themselves.! When you get your card sign it and include your title. You will get an iron-on LOGO transfer and a few extra cards, etc. Some items in the membership kit are not shown! There are thousands of members of the International Banana Club all around the world! All kinds, young and old, people from 37 different countries. President Reagan was a member and his title was: P.B. (President Banana). To the left Ken,T.B. presented an official B.C. pin to the President at a fundraiser held in Los Angeles. Ken was there to photograph the President and his 150 "closest friends" guests. Sonny Bono was just one of the celebs.
People from all walks of life are card carrying B.C. members because it is a GOOD POSITIVE BUNCH to be a part of! VOTED THE BEST CLUB TO BE A MEMBER OF FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW BY THE CITY OF APPLE VALLEY, CA. (21,22 & 23)

THIS IS THE OFFICIAL INTERNATIONAL BANANA CLUB LOGO! Back in 1972 a friend and artist named Bud Willis of the Irvine, CA area designed this logo for the Banana Club when he observed Ken standing like this next to his desk with a big smile on his face : ) and hands on the hips .. The logo was REGISTERED in 1976 in the U.S.A.
THIS BUNCH IS FOR REAL AND YOU CAN BE A PART OF IT!
The BANANA CLUB was conceived and founded by Ken Bannister, T.B. (Top Banana) back in 1972. It all started at a professional photographic trade show in Atlanta, GA. Ken simply started handing out Chiquita Banana stickers (a 10,000 count roll given to him by his secretary / her husband unloaded bananas at the Long Beach, CA docks) to photographers to affix to their I.D. badges at professional photographic trade shows. It caught on and served as a very effective way to get attention all over the U.S. and Europe. People just assumed it was a club, so be it...The membership card provided anyone a way to get discounts on merchandise, upgrades in hotels, and special favors if they simply asked with a smile on their face and made reference to the Banana Club (by simply showing the membership card!) Anyone with a banana sticker or card would get special treatment by manufactures and trade show participants at the photo trade shows or anywhere they showed it!
The Incentive to send tasteful banana related items to the International Banana Club or to Ken the "Banana Man - Top Banana" is how B.M's (Banana Merits) are earned and the Degrees in Bananistry are earned. You can get the M.B. "Master of Bananistry and the PHB "Doctorite of Bananistry"! It takes 100 B.M.'s for the M.B. and 500 for the PHB. Merits are earned by mail or given verbally by the T.B. (Top Banana). Nothing lude, crude or lascivious is accepted or demerits may be given if items are not tasteful. The result was the International Banana Club Museum! "Woddis" is our password and means whatever you want it to mean .. depends on the tone of your voice and the expression on your face! :) People do business with people who are pleasant and display good positive attitudes!
